6 Tips for Responsible Quarantine Shopping

Here are 6 tips for all my shopaholics out there or if you’re just hoping to #TreatYoSelf to one or two things during this #shelterinplace. ⁣⁣

  1. Shop for later, not for now. If you’re in a cooler climate right now, like I am in the #BayArea, then shop for things that you can rock POST quarantine not for our current weather. If you follow the news, you know we will be hunkered down for a minute. No need to buy some jackets, scarves, and boots rn if you’re in the house… ⁣⁣
  2. Check your closet before you check the store. Personally, I like to re fall in love with pieces I used to love and bring them back. If you have a piece you love but don’t have a top to go with it or vice versa, start there. There’s nothing worse than buying that obscure top that isn’t really your typical style, that you kinda sorta maybe think will go with the pants that you don’t have, that you would wear to that fancy gala that you know damn well you’re not going to!⁣⁣⁣⁣
  3. Check the featured pages of your top 5 favorite stores. “Just In” “Spring Essentials” “New Arrivals” “Back in Stock.” This is where you’ll find the upcoming trends that the buyers and fashion/ style gurus have identified based on Summer/ Spring/ Fall fashion runway trends.⁣⁣
  4. SAVE. SAVE. SAVE. Obvi I don’t recommend you go cray cray but you know a lil #TreatYoSelf sesh never killed anyone. If you’re already planning to shop, use sites like Rakuten (referral link in bio so you save even more $$) to get cash back just for doing what you were already going to do. OR shop sales. ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
  5. Thrift Shop. “Fashions fade, style is eternal” Yves Saint Laurent. Rock your style girl, why do you need to have the latest fast fashion trends anyways if you’re not about it? I love to thrift shop. My personal fave is Crossroads Trading Co. #ReduceYourCarbonFootprintSis ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣
  6. Stop trying to impress people…. “I’m not gunna go broke, trying to prove I’m not broke to you!” – Loni Love
